I like to call myself a "boy who paints with his camera," because I approach photography from an illustrators perspective. My process is much more modern than my aesthetic, as I gravitate towards "old world" charm, imagery that has a sense of a time we no longer live in. I celebrate androgyny and ambiguity, imagery which cannot be identified in any specific place or time period... I want the viewer to enter a dream space. Whether it be the simplicity of a single character, or a lush scene filled with detail, my ultimate goal is to create endless stories within a single image. I have created imagery for major fashion brands and record labels, and have shown my work in galleries and publications. Although I'm grateful for the things I've accomplished, I often feel like I am missing a piece of the puzzle. As an independent artist, I learn a little more about who I am and what I want to express through every project... however, I desperately want to take a quantum leap.
