When influential fashion site, The Impression, decided to buck the trend and launch a print edition, they called upon a trio of talent from Mastered: Photography to fill their glossy pages.

Editor in chief - and all-round industry legend - Kenneth Richard introduced issue one of his new title during September’s New York Fashion Week. The 340-page fashion tome, published in collaboration with The CFDA, features profiles of designers and directors, coverage of collections and inspiring editorial.

When you want to make a statement with a new title, how do you stand out? For this important first issue of the digital-to-print title, Kenneth decided to approach Mastered to find and feature the new breed emerging photographers – something of which we have no shortage, in no less than 80 locations across the globe.

Once Kenneth had selected his shortlist and briefed them, the Mastered Photography team - photographers and creatives themselves - were on hand to help with production and logistics to help create a series of brilliant stories.

Featured in the debut issue of this era-defining title were Photography: Mastered alumni Christos Karantzolas, Audrey Krawczyk and Julia Comita. All three had editorial printed in the magazine, but Christos also earned the prestigious cover; sharing the honours with photography legends Luigi and Iango, who shot supermodel Natalia Vodianova for an alternative cover.

With the issue receiving wide industry acclaim - and sales in important boutiques including Colette, Corso Como and Bookmarc - we’re proud to see our alumni taking pride of place.
